Today, I have the honor of leading World Race: Gap Year along with my incredible team. Full DetailsYour journey begins in Guatemala. You’ll spend three months at our Adventures in Missions base, located near the town of Antigua. As our base staff teaches and equips you with God’s Word, you will work alongside them to build relationships with the surrounding communities. About the base:
Adventures Guatemala serves alongside pastors and leaders through community development (SERVE), discipleship (DISCIPLE), and activation of the Church (SEND) to establish the Kingdom of God locally and internationally.
During your three months in Ecuador, you will live in the capital city Quito. Serve with our ministry partner Inca Link, who is making an impact for God’s kingdom through a network of ministries around the city. One of these ministries is providing a safe house for rescued victims of trafficking, while another is hosting a feeding program that serves Venezuelan refugees. Your team could be serving at a home for adults with special needs, or teaching English at a local high school and sharing the Gospel. No matter what you do, your time in Ecuador will be a high point of your journey.

Fabi’s favorite part of his job is when people feel at home, can hear God speak, and share how God is changing their lives in Ecuador. Both he and Mabe have a goal to make teams feel like Casa Blanca is their home away from home!
Surrounded by the impressive Himalayan mountains, you’ll visit remote villages where people wait with an open heart to hear the message of the Gospel for the first time. Among the colorful streets of Kathmandu, join our partners as they bring the message of the Gospel to the earth’s most distant corners. A large part of this journey is growing in your walk with Christ. We desire to model the way Jesus discipled his followers. Mentors, coaches, and fellow Racers will disciple you, while you serve, love, and disciple others.
Six to eight weeks before your launch date, you’ll attend a 10-day intensive training at our headquarters here in North Georgia.
You’ll get to experience raw Christian community as you travel, serve, and encourage each other. Once you officially join the Race, you will be invited to a private Facebook group to begin getting to know your squad.
We’ll provide coaching, video tutorials, scripts, and ideas for fundraising plus a free fundraising course and a blog so you can tell your story and accept donations. We also have structured deadlines to help you reach your goal.
Our commitment to risk management includes internal and external teams who constantly monitor and manage risk and create contingency plans as needed.
