For the past 12 years, we have connected men and women just like yourself with ministry opportunities all around the world. Our coaches and mentors will walk with you every step of the way as you seek to know God deeper and serve the nations.
Ministry will be both challenging and rewarding during your journey. You will have to trust God to be your strength as you minister with people affected by drug addiction, homelessness, and violence. It’s a year to grow and discover the call God’s placed on your life.
You’ll discover healthy communication and problem-solving solutions that will help your team thrive. You’ll be able to take what you learned once the Race is over and continue to live in Gospel-centered community - no matter where God calls you next.
You will witness God’s heart of redemption as you serve among indigenous tribal churches, unreached communities scarred by histories of violence, and major metropolitan cities.
Embark on an adventure retracing history, beginning with Colombia, a nation birthed from Incan ruins, now recovering from the aftermath of drug trafficking and violence. From there you enter the Carribean’s glittering seas, chasing down these waters’ most evocative coasts and turbulent histories. Through our ministry partners, God is at work reversing the effects of brokenness and restoring communities affected by drug addiction, violence, and natural disasters.
From there, you’ll leave the familiarity of the Western world in search of West Africa’s distant shores. As the gateway to the Muslim nations of North Africa, Cote d’Ivoire, and its neighboring countries reveal a continent on the verge of development while struggling to maintain its deeply rooted yet fractured tribal identity. Despite generations of colonial rule and ethnic tension, the Lord is bringing restoration!
The path then rises to the clash of cultures in Lebanon. These tumultuous hills will prepare you well for the mixture of old and new, East and West, Islam and Christianity, found in the most undiscovered and compelling nations in Europe and the Middle East. Having journeyed across some of the world’s most intense ethnic and racial divides, you’ll be equipped to bring the truth of the Gospel across any cultural barrier. Your journey culminates in Turkey, unique in its position at the edge of the western world. Where will the Lord lead from there?
A large part of this journey is growing in your walk with Christ. We desire to model the way Jesus discipled his followers. Mentors, coaches, and fellow Racers will disciple you, while you serve, love, and disciple others.
Six to eight weeks before your launch date, you’ll attend a 10-day intensive training at our headquarters here in North Georgia.
You’ll get to experience raw Christian community as you travel, serve, and encourage each other. Once you officially join the Race, you will be invited to a private Facebook group to begin getting to know your squad.
We’ll provide coaching, video tutorials, scripts, and ideas for fundraising plus a free fundraising course and a blog so you can tell your story and accept donations. We also have structured deadlines to help you reach your goal.
Our commitment to risk management includes internal and external teams who constantly monitor and manage risk and create contingency plans as needed.
